[alpine-user] BeagleBone Black won't boot

Has anyone successfully booted Alpine arm on the BeagleBone Black (am335x_boneblack)? The arm / u-boot image hangs on "Starting Kernel..." and then the device resets after about 15 seconds (infinite boot loop). Things I've tried:
1) Tried Alpine arm/u-boot image version 3.6, 3.7, and 3.8 (note the 3.8 image does not include the dtb for the BBB, so I copied it over from the 3.7 image)
2) For U-Boot, removed extlinux.conf and replaced with a uEnv.txt that loaded to the same memory addresses used in other distributions (i.e., Debian) for the BBB (loadaddr=0x82000000, fdtaddr=0x88000000, rdaddr=0x88080000) and used bootz insted of the sysboot.
3) Compiled the kernel at and installed into the image.
