I asked for an update on IRC but I don't think anyone has had time to make the appropriate changes. We, as such, don't need to make the effort to track which pages are retroactively re-licensed and which are not. However, should someone else *want* to reuse the content from a page, then they can ascertain the copyright status of that page fairly easily on their own. I would suggest that the red banner on the main page reads as follows: > Please note as of 12 Jan 2022 00:00:00 UTC all new wiki pages are > licensed as CC-BY-SA-4.0. > > Existing pages retain the old license except where their authors have > agreed to retroactively change the license of their content to > CC-BY-SA-4.0 by acknowledging the change in [this mailing list thread]. >=20 > See https://wiki.alpinelinux.org/wiki/Alpine_Linux:Privacy_policy for > more details. The Privacy Policy page should also change this: > All content is copyrighted by the original authors. It may not be > republished in any form without prior permission. To this: > All content is copyrighted by the original authors. Some authors have > agreed to re-license their contributions under [CC-BY-SA-4.0] by > acknowledging the change in [this mailing list thread]. All future contributions are CC-BY-SA without requiring anyone's explicit agreement, so the mailing list thread and relicensing statement are only relevant to the "before" header.
