Alpine Linux Team is pleased to announce the Alpine Linux 2.2.0 release.

This release is based on the 2.6.38 kernel branch, has a new x86_64
port, support for SHA512 passwords, and the setup scripts have support
for LVM. MySQL was upgraded to 5.5. XFCE was upgraded to 4.8 and
Mozilla Firefox was added. There is also preliminary support for GNOME
and Xen dom0.
