The fact that even the PR patches are merged in some strange order. PR-s that fixes bugs or features from bugs.alpinelinux.org are hangs open for a week. Instead of there are daily accepted many minor fixes in testing/ packages and new small packages (like fonts). It's not hard for me to stay a maintainer. But I don't know how to make an adequate maintenance in this situation. 2016-12-20 2:45 GMT+02:00 Carlo Landmeter : > > > On 11 December 2016 at 22:19, Valery Kartel > wrote: > >> -- >> this commit broke my patches: http://git.alpinelinux.org/cgi >> t/aports/commit/?id=c0c97226c82735c1756ff6685b418fefa277e9ab >> and it absent in http://patchwork.alpinelinux.org list >> For now I don't uderstand the patch-acceptance mechanism and have no >> authority and have no influence on this process. >> >> So I don't know what to answer on this request: >> https://bugs.alpinelinux.org/issues/6524 >> >> I think it would be better for community if somebody more authoritative >> maintain this package. >> >> > Hi Valery > > There seems to be some misunderstanding between the patches from ML vs GH. > Are you able to use github instead of using the ML and keep yourself as > maintainer (i see you already have an github account)? > > Sorry for the confusion caused, github currently provides a better feature > set in combination with travis. > > -carlo > > --94eb2c18d5bce5888f0544136d32 Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
Hi Carlo,

The github's PR-s is not a panacea. T= he fact that even the PR patches are merged in some strange order.

P= R-s that fixes bugs or features from bugs.alpinelinux.org are hangs open for a week. Instead of there are = daily accepted many minor fixes in testing/ packages and new small packages= (like fonts).

It's not hard for me to stay a maintainer.
But= I don't know how to make an adequate maintenance in this situation.

this commit broke my patches: http://git.alpinelinux.org/cgit/aports/commit/?i= d=3Dc0c97226c82735c1756ff6685b418fefa277e9ab
and it absent in http://patchwork.alpinelinux.org list
For now I don't uderstand the patch-acceptance mechanism and have no authority and have no influence on this process.

So I don't know what to answer on this request: https://= bugs.alpinelinux.org/issues/6524

I think it would be better for community if somebody more authoritative
maintain this package.

Hi Valery

There seems to be some misunderstandin= g between the patches from ML vs GH.
Are you able to use github i= nstead of using the ML and keep yourself as maintainer (i see you already h= ave an github account)?

Sorry for the confusion ca= used, github currently provides a better feature set in combination with tr= avis.
