I think I'll just shoot the engineer and just ship the product eitehr tomorrow or monday. Whats not solved yet will be rescheduled to 2.1 release. Stuff in testing repo will also be deleted from v2.0 tree after the 2.0.0 tag and branch. This stuff is still candidates for 2.1.x. We can also start think what stuff we want in there for 2.1 release. Some stuff from the top of my head: * gcc-4.5.x * linux 2.6.35.x kernels * apk-tools' install_if/virtual package feature * 64 bit version Possilby also: * unattended installer (based on irc discussion with mattx86) There are some infrastruc ideas: * web (user) forums (fluxbb?) * alpine-user mailing list * blog.alpinelinux.org (running wordpress?) If you have other ideas, please feel free to post them here. We can also collect the ideas (and clean up) the http://alpinelinux.org/wiki/Ideas page or set up a "BrainStorming2.1" page or similar. -nc --- Unsubscribe: alpine-devel+unsubscribe@lists.alpinelinux.org Help: alpine-devel+help@lists.alpinelinux.org --- From nobody Fri Mar 29 07:49:43 2024 X-Original-To: alpine-devel@lists.alpinelinux.org Delivered-To: alpine-devel@lists.alpinelinux.org Received: from sp4.qcslink.com (sp4.qcslink.com [200.35.147.4]) by lists.alpinelinux.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 57A5761A644 for ; Thu, 12 Aug 2010 17:34:20 +0000 (UTC) Received: from sp4.qcslink.com (localhost.localdomain [127.0.0.1]) by sp4.qcslink.com (Postfix) with ESMTP id A5F3A1A647 for ; Thu, 12 Aug 2010 13:34:19 -0400 (EDT) Received: from [10.252.6.46] (c-71-198-163-57.hsd1.ca.comcast.net [71.198.163.57]) (using TLSv1 with cipher DHE-RSA-AES256-SHA (256/256 bits)) (No client certificate requested) (Authenticated sender: nangel@nothome.org) by sp4.qcslink.com (Postfix) with ESMTPSA id 324561A63A for ; Thu, 12 Aug 2010 13:34:18 -0400 (EDT) Message-ID: <4C6430A3.5020102@nothome.org> Date: Thu, 12 Aug 2010 10:34:27 -0700 From: Nathan Angelacos User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.10) Gecko/20100619 Icedove/3.0.5 X-Mailinglist: alpine-devel Precedence: list List-Id: Alpine Development List-Unsubscribe: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: MIME-Version: 1.0 To: alpine-devel@lists.alpinelinux.org Subject: Re: [alpine-devel] Brainstorming for 2.1 References: <1281617804.23726.60.camel@ncopa-desktop.nor.wtbts.net> In-Reply-To: <1281617804.23726.60.camel@ncopa-desktop.nor.wtbts.net> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Virus-Scanned: ClamAV using ClamSMTP On 08/12/10 05:56, Natanael Copa wrote: > We can also start think what stuff we want in there for 2.1 release. > Some stuff from the top of my head: > > * gcc-4.5.x > * linux 2.6.35.x kernels > * apk-tools' install_if/virtual package feature > * 64 bit version Really want: * Ikeda (Fabled's IPSec IKE daemon) Would be cool: * MIPS port (Alpine on Netgear/LinkSys/Buffalo routers) --- Unsubscribe: alpine-devel+unsubscribe@lists.alpinelinux.org Help: alpine-devel+help@lists.alpinelinux.org --- From nobody Fri Mar 29 07:49:43 2024 X-Original-To: alpine-devel@lists.alpinelinux.org Delivered-To: alpine-devel@lists.alpinelinux.org Received: from mail-ew0-f54.google.com (mail-ew0-f54.google.com [209.85.215.54]) by lists.alpinelinux.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 3A56961A644 for ; Thu, 12 Aug 2010 19:14:28 +0000 (UTC) Received: by ewy26 with SMTP id 26so1070123ewy.13 for ; Thu, 12 Aug 2010 12:14:27 -0700 (PDT) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=gmail.com; s=gamma; h=domainkey-signature:mime-version:received:received:received :in-reply-to:references:date:message-id:subject:from:to:cc :content-type; bh=ou3NOX5o3oTv/sO8cRxwhSEGdrsmMxxJac1+/PEs7YQ=; b=fhoYMSw93qzDki7FFVL5r9MIihJLB2SAGgsyHCGkyCi8rlh8+0JMc6EaZ8UMSzzx7c 8P/xCMgJ/5lNw3uqJj8T2lbS7fxO9gE2qhbrUDXnI31ssPxmRxzvKMVhcaysTN0gws5r DLz9XPeQfO8kSNaeCVrLe/vuhUFYCLQkNPZ/4= DomainKey-Signature: a=rsa-sha1; c=nofws; d=gmail.com; s=gamma; h=mime-version:in-reply-to:references:date:message-id:subject:from:to :cc:content-type; b=avchN3NhWckN2TT8Xo0UD4RK1D+g15dsjfS7iWkKEeSZhL5EOi2Xmt1xyrkD4HA/C6 EU/o3GM5OP1ZC6pRB5SW4ak/By3ZghrkH1KM/Fc7Zt/8EUJVJRcKlcYsNm0loCHmIJju 1P8uu0dliAcaSCjC5XCSgpl4TcJ1FCVyOr5mg= X-Mailinglist: alpine-devel Precedence: list List-Id: Alpine Development List-Unsubscribe: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: MIME-Version: 1.0 Received: by 10.213.8.200 with SMTP id i8mr751129ebi.18.1281640467426; Thu, 12 Aug 2010 12:14:27 -0700 (PDT) Received: by 10.14.37.80 with HTTP; Thu, 12 Aug 2010 12:14:26 -0700 (PDT) Received: by 10.14.37.80 with HTTP; Thu, 12 Aug 2010 12:14:26 -0700 (PDT) In-Reply-To: <4C6430A3.5020102@nothome.org> References: <1281617804.23726.60.camel@ncopa-desktop.nor.wtbts.net> <4C6430A3.5020102@nothome.org> Date: Thu, 12 Aug 2010 23:14:26 +0400 Message-ID: Subject: Re: [alpine-devel] Brainstorming for 2.1 From: qnx4ever To: Nathan Angelacos Cc: alpine-devel@lists.alpinelinux.org Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary=0015174c37b0ca6c4e048da52cf5 --0015174c37b0ca6c4e048da52cf5 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Routers version would be great indeed, while supporting different hw platforms with its individual issues could lead Alpine to become OpenWrt ;) For those of us joining only recently, forum could be a great thing. Really want:
* Ikeda (Fabled's IPSec IKE daemon)

Would be cool:
* MIPS port (Alpine on Netgear/LinkSys/Buffalo routers)
