Hello all,

In thinking about the whole automated deployment thing, it occurs I may
be unaware of existing or planned capabilities that would take care of
basic deployment needs.

1. Is it currently possible to supply the URI of an answerfile on the
kernel commandline (e.g. when doing iPXE boot)?

   1. If not, is this a planned capability? Is there work in progress?
Is this something you'd welcome an MR for?

2. Is it currently possible to specify the URI of a script on the kernel
commandline (as with answerfile) that will run on the first reboot (i.e.
after applying the answerfile and doing the needed reboot)?

   2. AIUI the answerfile root filesystem isn't suitable for running as
a normal system, even after the answerfile completes. Is this correct,
or would it be possible to run a script in the answerfile root context
that wouldn't have unexpected gotchas?


It seems to me this would also help with the request for being able to
do headless deployments of Alpine Linux.
