I have been in the Linux world for many years now (as well as of course the Windows world too) and am working on a PoC project focused on minimization. In the past, I have used many different Linux distros but have mainly used Ubuntu & Debian although have heard a little about Alpine Linux although have not really used it much. As I am gearing up for a PoC project and think that Alpine Linux might be a good base to use since it is not as bloated as the other full distros which I do not need for this project. With this in mind, the idea that I am considering is to have a ultra-small RAM-based bootable ISO version of Alpine Linux that has Xen as the hypervisor and Alpine as the Dom0 Control Domain. In looking at the Alphe Linux Downloads section ( https://alpinelinux.org/downloads/), it seems that my idea would be a combination of the Virtual (for small size) and Xen (for hypervisor) to keep everything as absolutely small as possible. I wanted to get your thoughts on this as someone may have better ideas. Best Regards and have a great day, Lonnie --0000000000009df7b305ba0d755b Content-Type: text/html; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
