Alpine has non-LTS releases in edge, but not in any of its relea= ses. Alpine edge is not usable in production, and its packages can't reliab= ly be used in other releases. I understand that the support period of a non= -LTS Java release is only 6 months, while Alpine releases are supported for= 2 years. However, because Alpine is released every 6 months, it is not a p= roblem for those who choose to use non-LTS OpenJDK and already understand t= he commitment to keep current. Please consider giving Alpine users a way to= run/deploy the latest Java. Can you please open a issue[0] to request moving the packages from testing to community? This way we can assign it properly to the maintainer. Usually the issue is that we have to support the package for 6 months and packages known to easily break (especially if there is lots of development happening) are a lot more difficult to maintain. > =20 > Thanks, > Alex [0] https://gitlab.alpinelinux.org/alpine/aports/-/issues
