Dear Alpine Linux Developers,

I hope you're doing well.

My name is Hadi Chokr, and I am a KDE Developer. We are currently working on a GUI frontend for Distrobox called “Kontainer” (formerly K-Box), which integrates container management with the KDE Plasma desktop environment.

To provide a more visually clear experience, we would like to use the logos of supported distributions in the application’s UI list. One such distribution is Alpine Linux.

We are respectfully asking for your permission to use the Alpine Linux logo in our application. This is to ensure we comply with trademark and legal guidelines.

Could you please let us know:
- Whether we may use the Alpine Linux logo/icon for this purpose?
- What license applies to the icon?
- Who should be credited as the rights holder?

You can see the current icons in KDE Invent Instance under the System Group under Kontainer Repo under the res/icons folder.

If you do not approve the use of the icon, we will immediately remove it.

Thank you for your time and consideration. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if more information is needed.

Best regards,
Hadi Chokr
KDE Developer
