It's a bit cheesy, but hopefully gives a better idea of Alpine Linux.

Happy weekend!

# About
-Alpine Linux is a non-commercial, general purpose Linux distribution
-designed for power users who appreciate security, simplicity and resource
-effiency.
+Alpine Linux is an independent, non-commercial Linux distribution designed for power users who appreciate security, simplicity and efficiency.
## Small
-Alpine Linux is built around musl libc and busybox. This makes it smaller
-and more resource efficient than traditional GNU/Linux. A container with
-a fully usable base system takes no more than 7-10 MB. This makes it ideal
-for containers and diskless systems.
-
-Less disk usage also means less disk I/O and fewer cache misses which makes
-the system more responsive.
+Alpine Linux is built around musl libc and busybox. This makes it smaller and more resource efficient than traditional Linux distributions. A minimal installation to disk requires no more than 70MB of storage and a container no more than 10MB. Not only do you get a fully-fledged Linux environment but a huge wealth of packages at your disposal as well. Binary packages are thinned out and split, giving you even more control over what you install, which in turn keeps your environment as clean and efficient as possible.
## Simple
-Alpine Linux tries to be simple and stay out of the way for the user. It
-uses the OpenRC init system (similar to gentoo) and provides a very simple -
-but fully usable - default, while still giving the option to choose more
-advanced tools.
+Alpine Linux is a very simple distribution that will stay out of your way. It uses its own package manager called apk, the OpenRC init system, script driven set-ups and that's it! This provides you with a simple, crystal-clear Linux environment without all the noise. You can then add on top of that just the packages you need for your project, so whether it's building a home PVR, or an iSCSI storage controller, that wafer-thin mail server container, or a rock-solid embedded switch, nothing else will get in the way.
## Secure
-Alpine Linux was designed with security in mind. The kernel is
-Grsecurity-patched, and all userland binaries are compiled with Position
-Independent Executables (PIE) and stack smashing protection. These proactive
-security features prevent exploitation of entire classes of zero-day and
-other vulnerabilities.

I'm ok with this.

Is 70MB true? doesn't kernel eat more space than that? I thought it was
over 100MB...
s/a huge wealth of packages/a wealth of packages/
otherwise ok.

I don't want say 'As far as we know, no other Linux distribution...'
since this is something that might change. I'd prefer not mention what
other distros do, but if we want anyway, then I'd prefer say: 'Few
other Linux distributions...'. "Few" applies to zero too.
There are other things too, like apk-tools which likely is the fastest
package manager on the planet. But I don't want say that out loud.
I want people find Alpine better than expected when they actually try
it.
Thanks for your input!

Alpine Linux is built around musl libc and busybox. This makes it smaller
and more resource efficient than traditional Linux distributions. A
container requires no more that 10Mb and a minimal installation to disk
requires around 130MB of storage. Not only do you get a fully-fledged
Linux environment but a wealth of packages at your disposal as well.

Alpine Linux is a very simple distribution that will try to stay out of
your way. It uses its own package manager called apk, the OpenRC init
system, script driven set-ups and that's it! This provides you with a
simple, crystal-clear Linux environment without all the noise. You can
then add on top of that just the packages you need for your project, so
whether it's building a home PVR, or an iSCSI storage controller, a
wafer-thin mail server container, or a rock-solid embedded switch, nothing
else will get in the way.
