As an end user, I can tell you that the current version scheme is very 
easy to understand.
Changing the current version scheme as a marketing tool, on the other 
hand, tends to make a negative impression on me.
If I read somewhere about "Alpine 15" I certainly don't think about 
Alpine Linux either.
