Hello Alpine Linux Team,

I’m contacting you on behalf of *Provibr*, a commercial server and 
infrastructure management platform.

Provibr allows customers to deploy and manage operating systems on their 
own servers. We would like to request permission to use the official 
*Alpine Linux logo*within Provibr to visually identify Alpine Linux as 
an available operating system.

The logo would be used solely for identification purposes, for example:

  * in the operating system installation catalogue;
  * next to Alpine Linux versions/templates available for deployment;
  * within server views where Alpine Linux is installed;
  * potentially in public documentation where Alpine Linux support is
    described.

We would only use official Alpine Linux brand assets, follow any 
applicable trademark and branding guidelines, and would not modify the 
logo or imply sponsorship, endorsement, certification, partnership, or 
affiliation with the Alpine Linux project.

Could you please confirm whether this type of logo usage is permitted 
within a commercial platform such as Provibr, and let us know if any 
specific attribution or branding requirements apply?

Screenshots or mock-ups of the intended placement can be provided if needed.

We currently don't have the legal copyright of the logo. See <https://gitlab.alpinelinux.org/alpine/council/-/work_items/694>

You *most likely* won't get into trouble if you use it. But we also can't legally give you permission to use it.
