Strange.. shouldn't they normally be set to 86400?
Probably they are still set like this from the move earlier this year.
If you can manage the DNS, I would like to ask you to change it to even
lower when we plan to migrate, to lower downtime.

Yes, all of our DNS is managed in-house so we can lower it to whatever we
want.  I'd suggest a few hours notice at least before you do the move to
make sure one of us is at our keyboards :).
