Don=E2=80=99t panic, X.Org won=E2=80=99t disappear anytime soon. Wayland =
although stable is still experimental in many areas where bugs still =
exist. It=E2=80=99s not usable on all OS (excluding Linux) as such X.Org =
will stay for a long time being. For example, it is still quite =
experimental to run wayland on FreeBSD (many freezes) and not even =
supported on OpenBSD.

Even though X.Org is an unloved system, it is still required right now.

Alpine policies is not to remove =E2=80=9Coutdated=E2=80=9D features in =
favor of modern alternatives. We do remove things that are totally =
obsoleted and no longer used but since libx11 is still a major =
requirement it will stay.
