LXD does this by invoking QEMU/KVM. QEMU/KVM with Libvirt works just fine, but LXD complains that "QEMU failed to run feature checks". I've posted a lot more detail in the LXD support forum in this thread including the results of logging and debug logging. I thought I'd as here in case any of you know something, or are just curious. It's probably a configuration problem. There might be a missing step in the Wiki, or something wrong with packaging. I'll try to fix those things when I find out what's up. Thanks!
