I installed some more packages and now it works. These things are in my
/etc/apk/world now:

libvirt-qemu
qemu-chardev-spice
qemu-hw-display-virtio-gpu
qemu-hw-display-virtio-gpu-pci
qemu-hw-usb-redirect
qemu-img
qemu-system-x86_64
qemu-ui-sdl
qemu-ui-spice-app
qemu-ui-spice-core

Not sure if there are superfluous things in there. In any case, this is
rather annoying.
