As you noticed, Alpine uses OpenRC and has been for *quite a long time*,
therefore what's the point of sharing that article (except to polarise
linux community even more and contribute to various conspiracy theories)?
I would like to not see Alpine's community reputation tarnished due to
insults towards projects (and people) which do not align theirs goals
with Alpine's goals and such conversations should be kept off of mailing
lists.
